For the newt app by Ganush Corp (package com.ganushcorp.newt).
You can delete your newt account and the data tied to it at any time — in the app or on this page.
Deletion is permanent and can't be undone.
In the app
Open newt and go to Settings.
Under Account, tap Delete account and confirm.
On the web
Sign in with the account you use in newt. We'll show you which account it is before anything is deleted.
Signed in as .
Type DELETE to confirm.
Your account has been deleted.
Any remaining history is cleared in the background within a few minutes. You can keep using newt without an account.
What gets deleted
Your account: name, email address, profile picture, linked Google/Apple sign-ins and every sign-in session.
Everything stored against it: visits and the venue arrival/departure log, saved events and reminders, plans and the group votes you started or cast, crowd checks ("How's the vibe?"), stamps, offers you viewed, notification tokens and settings, and the ideas, votes, bug reports and screenshots you sent.
Any venue-dashboard access granted to your email address.
Product analytics, crash reports and screen recordings in PostHog, our analytics provider: we ask PostHog to erase what our server recorded about your account and, when you delete from the app, everything the app recorded on that phone. PostHog clears this in batches, so it can take a few days.
We don't keep anonymised copies of your visits — location history can identify a person even without a name.
Venue statistics are recalculated without your activity.
What we keep
Analytics the app recorded on a phone you didn't delete from. The app tags them with a random ID on that phone, not your account, so this page can't find them; they expire within 12 months. Delete from the app instead (Settings → Account → Delete account), or email us and we'll erase them.
Analytics our server recorded while you used newt without signing in. They carry a separate anonymous ID that can't be traced to your account, so they aren't erased; they expire within 12 months.
A record of your former account's random ID — with no name, email or history attached — so a phone that hasn't caught up yet can't start saving data under the deleted account again.
Nothing else. Uninstalling the app removes the anonymous ID stored on your phone.
No account? Or can't sign in?
If you never signed in, newt only knows a random device ID. Email
contact@newt.beer to have the data tied to it (or to an account you can no longer
sign in to) deleted — we'll confirm within 30 days.
